We still need lots of help for the upcoming Garfield Orchestra’s Winter Waltz, on Sunday, January 29th from 7 – 10 pm. If you haven’t already done so, please sign up to volunteer. With just an hour or two of your time, you can help make this a successful event. We currently have 8 people signed up, with need for 37 more volunteers.
Volunteers are needed for the following jobs:
Set up: 8-10 volunteers to – a) help unload floor sections (from truck) and lay them on floor and, b) set up tables and chairs. Set up starts at 12:30 pm on the day of the Waltz.
Ticket Sales/Ticket Takers/Raffle Ticket Sales: 11 volunteers in various shifts to help with ticket sales, ticket takers at the door and raffle ticket sales.
Chaperoning: 16 volunteers. There are four shifts at 4 locations starting at 6:45. The Chaperones will be on the third floor where the musicians hang out and the instruments are stored, and on the main floor and stairway to keep them clear. Mostly the chaperones will be providing an adult presence to a particular section and keeping people from bunching up on the perimeter of the dance floor and stairways.
Clean up: 10 volunteers to help remove everything from tables and stack tables and chairs on dollies.
We hope you are able to lend a hand with this wonderful event! Please go to Doodle (link also below) to see the actual shifts and sign up for what works for you.
Your volunteer help is truly appreciated. However, we must ask that anyone who is attending the event purchase a ticket. Please contact Ingrid Holmlund ingridanddavid@comcast.net or Janet Jones ws_janet@msn.com, event co-chairs for exceptions.
