The 19th Annual Garfield Winter Waltz - Not Just for Dancers

Sunday, January 29, 2012
7:00 pm to 10:00 pm
Grand Lobby, Benaroya Hall

Hello Everyone!

The 19th Annual Winter Waltz is coming. Those of you who love to waltz are already polishing up your dancing shoes.

..... "But what if I don't dance?" you ask.

That's an easy one. You don't need to be a dancer to enjoy the Garfield Winter Waltz. You just need to love music, nightlife, good times, wine, desserts.

The Winter Waltz is an evening for everyone. Set in the spectacular foyer at Benaroya Hall, the event is a grand gala party where everyone comes to enjoy music, conversation and an elegant atmosphere. This year's theme is On The Beautiful Blue Danube. It's the closest you can get to Vienna without going through airport security.

This year's event features an appearance by the Radost Folk Ensemble, performing dances of Eastern Europe. There will also be a raffle, with prizes announced during the night. Dave Beck of KUOW-FM will be Master of Ceremonies.

Of course, if you do dance, you'll be able to do so to the strains of the award-winning Garfield Symphony Orchestras. And if you haven't waltzed yet, but you've always wanted to take a stab at ballroom dancing, here's your chance. There will be a free dance lesson on the 23rd - check out the website for more info. And don't forget YouTube - there is plenty of great instruction there as well. The dance floor accommodates dancers at all skill levels, so no need to be left out.
