New York Tour and Exchange 2017 "A" Orchestra

This year the symphony orchestra will be traveling to New York City from March 15th through March 19th. FOGO is working in conjunction with ACFEA Tour Consultants who are coordinating all aspects of the trip.

Trip Registration

We will be registering students for the NYC trip online this week. Even if your student is not participating, please fill out registration form as it gives us important information when planning future trips. Once your FOGO registration is complete you will receive an e-mail from ACFEA to register on Tour Central for flight. The flight cost is inclusive but registration is separate. 

Spring Trip 2017 BasicsMarch 15 - March 19 (See Printable Detailed Itinerary Below)

Wednesday - March 15.  Evening flight, SeaTac to JFK. 8:30 pm check in at Sea Tac.

Thursday - Box breakfast on the go and Staten Island Ferry Ride, lunch at Grand Central or Chelsea Market, hotel check in, group dinner then evening performance at New York Philharmonic David Geffen Hall, Lincoln Center.

Friday - High School exchange rehearsal and performance (location TBD), optional museum opportunities.

Saturday - Orchestra Workshop, Campus tours (Locations TBD), Student choice Broadway Show or Opera.

Sunday - Central Park and museum visit - Museum of Natural History or The Metropolitan Museum of Art, lunch, check in 5:30 at JFK depart 8:28pm arrive SeaTac 11:59pm.

Trip Cost

The cost for the trip is $1325 per student including airfare, ground transportation, lodging, clinic fees, museum fees and event tickets. Land only is also available for $950 if you chose to purchase your flights separately.

Payment Plans

In order to make the trip as affordable as possible, families can opt to pay for the trip in full or make three separate payments by November 1, December 1 and January 10. A PayPal / credit card option is available for full payment only by November 1. More details are available on the registration page.

Financial Aid

Kim Roy and FOGO are committed to the goal of every student going on the trip.  Limited financial aid resources should not be a barrier to a student’s participation.  We encourage a flexible payment option to pay over a longer period if this can help make the trip more affordable.  Where further assistance is needed, FOGO will provide financial assistance.  When you register for the trip, under the payment plan section, please select that you request financial assistance.  You will then be contacted by a member of the Financial Aid Committee and provided with a financial aid application.
