Join the Garfield Orchestra for Handel’s Messiah – Friday, December 8th.

Come and sing the Messiah Oratorio along with the Garfield High School Orchestra under the direction of Kim Roy.  The music and signing starts at 7:30 PM at Seattle’s First Baptist Church, 1111 Harvard Ave.

Tickets are now available online at Brown Paper Tickets.

General Admission tickets are $15, Seniors and Students $10.

Bring your own score, or rent one at the door for $5. You don’t need to be an accomplished choral singer this sing-along concert is for everyone who loves singing and Handel’s immortal oratorio.

Act Quickly for Free Tickets to NW Sinfonietta, Thursday 11/9

We just got an offer for up to 2 free tickets per student to attend the NW Sinfonietta performance on Thursday November 9th at 7:30pm.  BUT YOU NEED TO GET THE INFORMATION TO KIM ROY TODAY SINCE SHE NEEDS TO E-MAIL THE LIST BY 5:00 PM ON THE 8TH.

The program poster is attached. They will do an amazing work by Hans Krasa, written in the Thereseinstadt concentration camp, as well as a contemporary concerto telling the story of WWII survivor Curt Lowens, who saved countless Jewish children and 2 American pilots while working with the Dutch Resistance.  The program ends with a classic- Beethoven Eroica symphony.
